general information

deploymentPRODAT, participating in a long-standing foreign joint venture, offers rail scale systems labeled PRODAT CE. These scales are suited for determination of weight in railway good transportation. The series PRODAT CE is certified according to OIML R 106 and OIML class III.
PRODAT covers all possible application cases in the area of weight determination. The model PRODAT CE-VK is a static rail scale weighing rail railed motionless vehicles. Model PRODAT CE-VD, conceived for in-motion measurements, features high accuracy and is highly qualified for fast weighing of clutched vehicles. Finally PRODAT CE-VSD combines both weighing applications, so that in-motion and static weighing is possible. Highest accuracies are reached with solid or liquid substances. All types are very robust (through field-tested steel construction) and are also equipped with highly accurate, precise and innovative measuring indicators.
The electronics also reduces interferences, for example caused through velocity changes and ensures legally obligated long-run stability and legally obligated error margins.
Optionally flat wheel detection is possible. All models are also independent of drive-over directions. The used software features interface variety, so data transfer is very easy.

PRODAT CE-VD : dynamic weighing

PRODAT CE VDThe PRODAT CE-VD type weighing-in-motion (dynamic) railcar scale is the right solution for weighing of trains including coupled wagons and locomotives.
Steel bridges are mounted into a special steel scale frame. The load of the bridges are measured by FLINTEC type SB2 shear beam load cells. We recommend the PRODAT type in-motion scale terminal D43-09A.
The PRODAT CE-VD dynamic scales guarantee the in-motion accuracy according to the R 106 Standard. All of the weighing procedures and results can be identified or retrieved according to the ISO 9000 standard. The users can check the accuracy at any time.
The main characteristic of the scale is its living together with the track motion, it does not need any foundation. Installed as a track unit using standard track construction practice.

principle of operation

The CE-VD dynamic railcar scale processing the in-motion signals of load cells measures the weight of the wheel, axle, wagon and train. Furthermore, it determines the direction, the speed, the wagon type as well as the weighing status.

PRODAT CE-VK : static weighing

PRODAT CE VKPRODAT CE-VK railcar scales are the right solution for weighing wagons when high accuracy is needed.Whether steel or concrete bridges, both can be mounted into the special steel scale frame. The high accuracy industrial load cells below the bridges can be selected from the FLINTEC type SB2 shear beam and RC1 rocker column or the HBM type C16 load cell family. We recommend the IQ810 indicator to display the actual weight of each scale bridge or the total weight, to have programmed IT connection, to collect weighing data, to manage the calibration parameters by menu or by file.

Active lightning protection belongs to the scale from both the track and power supply side.

The load standing on the railed bridges of the PRODAT CE-VK static railcar scales is measured by high accuracy load cells built just below the ends of bridges. The fault effects of the track and track ballast are eliminated by the special scale frame.

All of the weighing procedures and results can be identified or retrieved according to the ISO 9000 standard. The users can check the accuracy of the dynamic results by static weighing at any time.
